Just as people connect to people, creating love and momentum in their lives together, people connect to places, forming relationships to the land, the sea, the mountains. In these new relationships, we discover ourselves anew, which may frighten or enable us, embolden or enlighten us, but most importantly question us – and the essential question is this: when we travel, what do we hope to discover about ourselves in relation to place, and what follows as a result of that discovery? This blog attempts an answer, or several, in the posts. Travel involves movement from one place to another, and if in that movement, regardless of how far or near, how mundane or exotic, a new perspective reveals itself, a new person emerges, a new landmark sparks wonder along the way, then we’re on the right road.
